John Rutter's Magnificat & Carols from around the World

Singing the Season with Tiptree Choral Society

Saturday 7th December 2019

St Luke’s Church, Tiptree (CO5 0SU) at 19:30

Come and join us to celebrate Christmas with music from around the world.

First, revel in the wonderful ‘Magnificat’ by John Rutter, written to evoke the spirit of the many festivals held to honour the Virgin Mary – it’s full of energy and beautiful melodies that you are bound to go home humming! Next, enjoy a selection of carols from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, from Germany, The Netherlands, France, Italy and America, a reflection of a rich tradition of music all written to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Conducted by the Society’s Musical Director, Malcolm Boulter, and accompanied by the choir’s regular accompanist, David Leveridge, we are also delighted to be joined for this concert by soprano soloist, Carolyn Cook.

Tickets £12:00 available on the door or book in advance by phoning 01206 734625 (from mid-November). Accompanied under 18s free; students £6:00.
