The choir has a varied repertoire that includes: complete works from composers such as Handel, Bach, Mendelssohn, John Rutter and Karl Jenkins; selections from West End musical shows; a wide range of stand-alone pieces; folk songs and carols. The choir sings music from different parts of the world, so as well as classical pieces in Latin, it has also sung in several foreign languages such as French, German, Russian and Welsh.
The choir mainly draws its membership from Tiptree and areas within a 30 minute drive; though some travel further.

Concerts are currently held three times a year – December, March/April and June - in the choir’s home base of St Luke’s Church in Tiptree, but the choir also sings mini-concerts at other venues during the year. The choir has a membership of around 50 and new singers are always welcome, particularly tenors and basses. There is no audition, just come along to a rehearsal and join in. |
